Why do people censor license plates..
..when you drive around with them exposed and park in public lots anyway? Makes no sense to me.
my thoughts exactly
It’s just like you can’t legally film someone without their consent, so to get around that you censor out their face. Censoring someone’s license plate is the same thing.

I get that it’s because of thieves, but then why have a legit plate in public at all…. Honestly. I’ve only done it upon request.

I never understood it either. The only reason I’ve started doing it is because some blogs featured my work and asked me to remove the plates for legal reasons. I just wouldnt want that to be the reason my work doesnt get around.

I never understood it. It’s usually on unique cars which makes no sense - if someone wants to find it, they can. Meanwhile the photo is ruined. I see no point in blocking mine out, I have one of only 2 or so Pintos driven in the state.
